The Austrian designer Manfred Kielnhofer imagine the “Light Guards, sculptural lamp-like fabric draped silhouettes. Enigmatic nature and size, among religious figures and phantoms, those strange lights outside are made of polyester and equipped of energy saving lamps.
A design that satisfies the geometric and abstract desire continuity with the modern movement of the Catalan. Large windows overlooking the Mediterranean and travertine cut to emphasize the grain, relate visually the interior with natural habitat surrounding the house. Developed for four hundred and fifty square meters on two levels, there are spaces like the pool where the horizon line coincides with the sea or a botanical garden hidden among the rock walls and windows of the house.

The site, located on the ground floor of a historic building in the old center of Madrid, were operated by a small, dark and unseen pet clothing business. Restoring the original main entrance of the premises, not only reconstructed the historical status of the structure and its facade, but it created a bright new space, allowing lots of natural light entering through the new openings. Two intersecting diagonals divide the space into four different uses: the kitchen and service rooms in the back, the bar area for customers in the front.
