For the 50th edition of the Salone del Mobile, Bokja and Wait and See turn Design into Bee-Sign. Uberta Zambeletti’s new concept store, situated in Milan’s historical city center, in which stimulating finds from all over the world can be found, represents an ideal vessel for Bokja’s new and important crusade: a mission to save the bees.

A swarm of colorful Bokjadised bees designed by Beirut-based Bokja duo Hoda Baroudi and Maria Hibri, will be unleashed upon the worldly visitors of the Salone. The installation makes a strong plea on behalf of these insects, and is a reminder of the crucial role they play in sustaining the planet. A giant sized bee made from scrap metal and covered in Bokja’s signature colourful assemblages will dominate the presentation. It will be on silent auction for the duration of the Salone with all proceeds going towards the World Save Bee Fund; an association which aims to save the bees and to preserve the global ecological balance of nature. Bees are the creators of life, and have found exceptional advocates in Bokja and Wait and See whose projects, as is well known, always celebrate life and its unending possibilities.

We invite you all to Wait and See’s Honey Bar on Thursday the 14th of April, in via Santa Marta 14, from 7 p.m., to interact with these precious creatures.
