Jacky Wu’s “Crack” line speaks to nature’s unpredictability- he found some timbers in a factory. But it cracked during the process of drying.  He thinks that the crack is the best part of the timbers. It tells the story and shows the power of nature. So he lacquered the crack and machined it as a vase then lacquered the inside after. Thus, the crack became a visual point on the vase. via
