The penthouse and garden are two projects for the previous and current owners. The former encompasses a single room and adjacent outdoor space, and the latter creates more outdoor space in an area to the left of the below diagram. Materials were selected for their changing qualities over time. They are primarily teak, bronze, zinc and Cor-ten steel.

The landscape plays a strong role in this project. The building is surrounded by beautiful garden, which brings us back to the old ages, with rich greenery, unbounded volumes and an abundance of plant species. This is the perfect contrast between the building and beauty of natural forms in the garden untouched by human hand.

Inspired by Mexican vernacular architecture with flamingo pink, lemon yellow and burnt sienna washed walls accented by a lattice of perforations, the combination of colour and light perfectly frames the Andalucian countryside and seascapes. Private property in Europe designed by Mexico’s most celebrated architect, Ricardo Legorreta.
