langner dzign brings a different sense of design aesthetics into people’s daily lives. Inspired by nature and our biomorphic need to have nature well reflected in our living and working environments, the abstracted, simplified forms in Gretchen Langner’s fabric fits well in contemporary settings, as well as more traditional homes.
Memory is Tokujin Yoshioka’s new design for Moroso, fruit of his poetic originality. The comfortable chair features a unique technical covering that can be formed into any shape desired. A free interplay between the seat and the sitter, who intervenes directly in the creative process, shaping the anatomy of the product. Thus the importance lies in the gestures, which establish a physical bond at the time of use. The resulting beauty derives from its irregular form, and from the hands-on mutability of its appearance.
Wood Chair is an ironic, comfortable and practical chair designed by the creative group Front for Moroso. They drew their inspiration for the armchair from the classic wooden bead seat covers used by drivers seeking a particular kind of comfort in their cars, combined with research on the way embroiderers in Africa weave their beads. The result is an extremely comfortable chair where a woven covering of natural birch wood beads of varying sizes fills the seat almost to overflowing, like foaming soap bubbles.
Karmelina Martina has designed the Helix chair for the Italian manufacturer Moroso. A witty, light-hearted little chair with a stylised design. Flame-retardant, cold-cured polyurethane foam padding over a steel frame.
