Project of a summer house built of concrete. The weather was a factor when building the project, given the conditions of this area of the sea coast and this particular batch.
Interior that embraces a multitude of textures, materials and hues by Neometro. Glass reinforced concrete screens shield the building and nod to the site’s past with their supersized, mesh-like shape. Concrete ceilings complement parquetry floors in the living room.
Completed in 2011, contemporary home is located in Chelsea, New York City, designed by Archi-Tectonics studio.
This lakeside retreat is anything but ordinary. Taking design inspiration from a vintage Polaroid camera, the form of the building is intended to frame the scenic setting from every angle – creating ‘postcards’ from within.
