A school house with no interior walls? This created an interesting program for the architects at Rosan Bosch , who had to create a school house for an establishment who do not believe in regular classes, but instead a place where individual development is based on living cultural work and challenging learning environments.
ORA is a piece that mediates between light and darkness through transparent colour. It is an interactive luminary that engages in experimentation and exploration of coloured illumination. ORA enables personalisation, for coloured light can have an emotional meaning and therefore can influence the atmosphere in a space.
From MYCC simply provids an attractive space that is capable of serving as a container for the uncertainties of the program.
The concept developed by UdA is therefore based on the Little Red Riding Hood nursery tale as it is their expertise and specialization. In the fable, “there below the three oaks stood her house” and in this project Granny’s little house in the fable becomes the central attention making it the focal point of the design. It also acts as the distributor of the spaces and a place which is half suspended between separation and unification.
Portuguese studio Pedra Liquida has completed the Casa do Condo project. The architects have renovated and converted a 19th-century bourgeois home in Porto into a boutique hotel with a total of six luxuriously furnished and equipped rooms.
