Designer Kenyon Yeh will be showing several items from his 2011 furniture collection at Tent London later this month including the iconic Flab Table . The Flab Table has table legs that resemble traditional turned table legs, but are actually laser cut 3mm laser cut steel.
Italian architects from the Duccio Grassi office have created a brand new shop for Max&Co, a subsidiary of the Max Mara Fashion Group – the new store is in the IFC Mall in Hong Kong. The design concentrates on foregrounding both the product and its presentation in the shop, and the architects thus came up with a concept in which the product cannot be seen from the outside, but the client is nevertheless visually enticed into the store.
The villa on Lake Scharmützel was designed by the Berlin architect Doris Schäffler. It was commissioned by a Berlin family with two children who were looking for a country getaway where they could now and again escape from city life.
French designer Laurent Corio has created the Fioriness Lamps, which will be on display by Secondome at the Maison & Objet show in Paris, September 9th to 13th.
‘Annexo’ is a set of lamps developed to question the principles of contextualization of objects and the choice of materials as holders of these references. The shape of the lamps are very simple and geometrical, allowing the materials to fully communicate the identity of the object.
